The NBA on Tuesday announced the list of eight players who will compete in the 2022 3-Point Contest, including a few of the young stars of the league.

The eight sharp-shooters who will compete are Desmond Bane of the Memphis Grizzlies, Luke Kennard of the Los Angeles Clippers, Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls, CJ McCollum of the New Orleans Pelicans, Patty Mills of the Brooklyn Nets, Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Fred VanVleet of the Toronto Raptors, and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks.

LaVine, Towns, VanVleet, and Young are all NBA All-Stars for their play this season, while Mills and Bane are top 10 in three-pointers made, and Kennard is sixth in three-point percentage.

The NBA also announced the four participants in the Slam Dunk contest, although it's a much less star-studded list. Cole Anthony of the Orlando Magic, Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets, Obi Toppin of the New York Knicks, and Juan Toscano-Anderson of the Golden State Warriors will compete in the contest. None of the four is an All-Star, although Toppin finished as the runner-up last year behind Anfernee Simons of the Trail Blazers.

Both contests will happen Saturday, Feb. 19 in Cleveland, Ohio.
