49ers star LB Fred Warner will 'be good to go' after injury scare Sunday

It was a scary scene for the San Francisco 49ers when Fred Warner curled up in pain on the ground during Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys and had to be helped off the field.

The fourth-year star linebacker aimed to ease the minds of faithful fans on Monday when he said via social media that he would be "good to go" for next weekend's divisional matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Warner aggravated an ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game but remained on the sidelines in an attempt to go back in to play the final drive.

Warner's claim he is "good to go" isn't an official medical diagnosis, however, and he will still likely have an MRI when the team returns to the Bay Area.

Whatever the prognosis may be, at least Warner is in good spirits after sustaining the injury.

The 25-year-old BYU product logged a career-best 137 combined tackles this season for the Niners and racked up another five on Sunday against the Cowboys, which San Francisco defeated in crazy fashion 23-17.

The 49ers face the Packers in Green Bay next Saturday.
