New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers Tom Horak-USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Rodgers' Jets jersey among highest-selling NFL jerseys in June

Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback for the New York Jets. It still seems strange and many fans—especially those in Green Bay—will find it odd for much of the 2023 season.

With that said, there's also a contingent of fans who seem to be all-in on the new era of Rodgers. One imagines that many of those fans are faithful to the Jets, but it seems many in general are interested in his new threads.

In fact, only Jalen Hurts' jersey sold more in June, according to the official NFL Shop.

It makes sense, especially for football historians and jersey collectors, that Rodgers' new No. 8 is selling strong. He wore No. 12 for the Green Bay Packers for 18 seasons, so No. 8 for the New York Jets is incredibly new and exciting—much like Brett Favre's Jets jersey is seen as somewhat rare.

It could also end up being somewhat of a collector's item depending on how Rodgers does in New York. If he underperforms and retires after 2023, in a sense, it will become infamous. If he wins a Super Bowl for the Jets, though, it could end up being just as cool as wearing a Tom Brady Tampa Bay jersey.

In the end, though, it's still MVP-candidate Jalen Hurts who ends up on top, which may be a sign of the fan expectations for Hurts in his fourth season in Philadelphia.
