Washington Football Team safety Deshazor Everett was involved in a fatal car crash on Thursday night.
Everett was reportedly the driver.
The accident in question took place in Northern Virginia and left one female passenger dead.
According to a statement released by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Everett was behind the wheel of a 2010 Nissan GT-R at approximately 9:15 p.m. eastern time when his car left the right side of the road, collided with trees and rolled over.
Olivia S. Peters, who was just 29 years old, was rushed to a local hospital but ultimately ended up dying from her injuries.
For obvious reasons, this incident brought up memories of Henry Ruggs’ recent fatal accident. However, according to TMZ – alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this particular crash.
“Law enforcement sources tell us so far it does not appear alcohol was a factor, but they’re still investigating,” the report read.
Everett, a member of the Washington Football Team since inking a deal as an undrafted free agent six years ago, was taken to the hospital with “serious but non-life-threatening.”
