Antoine Winfield Jr. donating amount he was fined for taunting Tyreek Hill to charity
Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. was fined $7,815 for taunting Tyreek Hill in Super Bowl LV. He's now donating the same amount to charity.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Winfield Jr. is donating $7,815 to the Hillsborough Education Foundation to support the Buccaneers Youth Leadership Program at Tampa's Young Middle School. The Buccaneers are matching the donation, providing the school with over $15,000.
Earlier this month, Winfield Jr. said it "felt amazing" to flash Hill with his signature peace sign after the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver did the same thing during Week 12 as he crossed the goal line.
Winfield Jr. finished the Super Bowl with six tackles, one interception and two pass breakups, while Hill finished with seven catches for 73 yards, his lowest output of the postseason.
