Bengals make statement with win over Chiefs

So much for a Super Bowl hangover. The Bengals proved they're still one of the best with a 27-24 win over the Chiefs in Week 13, but are they the team to beat in the AFC?

QB Joe Burrow believes they have a championship team. "We’ve got players that have been in these spots before, whether it’s college or last year," Burrow told reporters. "The organization has done a great job of finding the right guys."

The Bills and Chiefs still lead as the odds favorites to win the AFC, but Cincinnati (8-4) isn't too far behind after defeating the Chiefs (9-3) once again Sunday.

Burrow is the first quarterback to start 3-0 against QB Patrick Mahomes. Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase thinks Burrow vs. Mahomes part four is still coming this season.

"It’s a championship atmosphere. We know we’re going to see those guys again in the playoffs. We’ve just got to be ready," Chase said after the game.

Cincinnati is getting hot at the right time, winning four straight. Although the Bengals still stand as the fifth seed, they face the Bills and Ravens in Weeks 17 and 18, giving them a shot at the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye.

"We have one of the best locker rooms I’ve ever been around. You can feel it. You feel the energy in that room every single day," Burrow added.
