The Buffalo Bills have been bit hard by the injury bug on the defensive side of the ball this season. Linebacker Matt Milano and cornerback Tre'Davious White have both been lost for the season, meaning the Bills have had to lean on their depth in both of those spots. Micah Hyde has also dealt with injuries this season, as well.
That said, the Bills finally got some good news in terms of injuries. Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones has been activated from IR, opening his 21-day window. Jones suffered a pectoral injury early in the season, but is set to return in Week 17 against the Patriots.
Head coach Sean McDermott said on Friday that Jones looked like he was heading in the direction of being able to play this weekend, and his activation off IR was the final step in that process. Jones hadn't missed a game since 2017 while he was a member of the Tennessee Titans.
In addition to activating Jones, the Bills also signed offensive lineman Germain Ifedi to the practice squad and released safety Tre Norwood from the practice squad.
