The Denver Broncos are doing offseason workouts now, just like every other team. But when Monday rolled around, it was obvious one of their best players, and likely best offensive player, was not there.

Offseason workouts are not required, but are strongly considered. In this case, the Broncos would have loved for wide receiver Courtland Sutton to be there. Instead, he missed day one, which usually means something significant.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Sutton did not report on Monday and is seeking a new contract, in which he currently has only $2 million guaranteed.

Sutton hasn’t had quite the career everyone hoped he would have, but has also dealt with crucial injuries and a bad quarterback situation. However, he still had an amazing season in 2023, which saw him finish with 10 touchdowns.

No matter who the quarterback is in 2024, Sutton will be a huge part of the offense - that is if he doesn’t hold out. He deserves a new deal, and based on his Instagram post in January after the Broncos’ last game of 2023 - he wants to be in Denver.

The Broncos can add this to their already long list of things to do this offseason.
