Browns' Myles Garrett cleared to play less than two weeks after car crash

Cleveland Browns All-Pro pass-rusher Myles Garrett was understandably ruled out of what became last Sunday's 23-20 loss at the Atlanta Falcons that dropped the Browns to 2-2 on the season and that occurred less than a full week after he was involved in a single-car accident following a team practice.

Both Garrett and head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed on Friday that the 26-year-old will be good to go for Sunday's home game against the 2-2 Los Angeles Chargers.

"Excited to have him back out there," Stefanski said of his best defensive player, per Jake Trotter of ESPN.

Garrett also touched upon his return to competitive play following the frightening off-the-field incident:

TMZ Sports notes that Garrett reportedly flipped his Porsche 911 Turbo S after he swerved to avoid an animal while traveling on a wet road back on Sept. 26. The Browns later announced he suffered a shoulder sprain and biceps strain to go along with bumps and bruises and also minor lacerations, and a different TMZ piece pointed out the three-time Pro Bowl selection was ultimately issued a citation after Ohio State Highway Patrol determined he was using an "unsafe speed for the type of roadway being traveled" before the accident.

Garrett tallied three sacks over his first three games of the season.
