Browns offer fans chance to script preseason plays for charity

As part of the All-In Challenge, a charity drive raising funds to provide food for those who require assistance during the coronavirus pandemic, athletes, celebrities, and sports franchises have placed a variety of opportunities up for auction.

Fans can win a meal and the viewing of batting practice alongside a beloved New York Mets icon, or earn the best seats for a chosen event, or receive a free golf lesson from none other than Tiger Woods.
The Cleveland Browns went one step further on Friday when head coach Kevin Stefanski announced fans can bid to win the right to script 15 plays of an actual real-life preseason football game.

Seriously. We're not talking about an edition of "Madden."

"Everybody thinks they can call the plays," Stefanski explained in a video shared on the All-In Challenge website, "a winner of this will help us do that.

"The winner is gonna help myself and Alex Van Pelt, our offensive coordinator, script the first 15 of one of our preseason games."

There's more. The auction's winner and a chosen guest receive an invite to the team dinner the evening before the preseason game, two on-the-field passes and two tickets to the game, and the chance to run out of the tunnel with the entire Browns squad ahead of the contest.

Autographed Browns merchandise is also included in the package.

According to the auction page, 100% of the proceeds go to the Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen, and No Kid Hungry organizations.

The highest bid was $8,000 as of 2 pm ET on May 22. The auction ends next Friday.
