The Buffalo Bills are taking a chance on a wide receiver following his suspension during the 2023 season. The Bills desperately needed help at wide receiver after losing Gabe Davis in free agency and Stefon Diggs in a trade with the Houston Texans. Those two were the Bills’ best wide receivers in 2023.

The Buffalo Bills drafted a WR at No. 33

The Bills drafted Keon Coleman with the No. 33 pick in the draft. However, the team needed to add some depth with experience this offseason. The Bills had a fire sale before free agency in March, and they’ve lost numerous veterans from a team that was a play away from playing in the AFC Championship.

Quintez Cephus signs with the Bills

According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Bills are signing former Detroit Lions wide receiver Quintez Cephus. Cephus was one of several players suspended for the entirety of last season for violating the league’s gambling policy.

The Lions drafted Cephus in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He caught 37 passes for 538 yards and four touchdowns in the three seasons he’s played in the league. Cephus should be able to make the Bills team in training camp this August.
