It looks like John Johnson III will not be a free agent for long after recently being cut by the Cleveland Browns. According to a report, the Los Angeles Chargers are working to bring in Johnson.

Johnson was in Cleveland the last two seasons where he totaled 162 tackles in 32 career starts. While with the Browns, Johnson intercepted four passes. He has a total of eight for his career.

Cleveland let Johnson go as a cap casualty, his production did not meet the dollar amount. It wasn't all him though, he was not used the same way as he was with the Los Angeles Rams and it showed. While with the Rams, Johnson saw his best season in 2018 when he intercepted four passes.

It looks like one former Browns player will quickly find a new team. Back to the west coast looks to be the answer for Johnson.
