The Chargers came away with another win this week after beating the Las Vegas Raiders in a huge division game that saw Khalil Mack have a historic night on defense.

One name that was not called often was that of Donald Parham Jr., the fourth-year tight end out of Stetson College.

Sustaining an injury during the game, Parham's status seems to be a bit of a mystery to everyone not within the Chargers organization.

Parham is the second-string tight end behind the veteran journeyman Gerald Everett, who is in his second year with the Bolts, already having 107 yards on the year and 13 catches.

The young Parham may only have six catches on the year, but due to his incredible 6'8 size and athleticism, 3 of those caught balls have been for touchdowns.

Parham was drafted as a red zone threat and has shown flashes of even bigger potential, but health has been a big concern since his entrance into the league.

Parham has never played more than 14 games in a year and only suited up for six last year due to injury.

However, when Parham is only on the field, he is a threat in the red zone, having ten career touchdowns in just 46 career receptions.

His 6'8 frame and athleticism make him too big to be matched up against corners and too shifty to go against linebackers.

If Parham does miss time, that would be the second week in a row that the Chargers lose a passing option for an extended period of time, as the wide receiver room lost Mike Williams due to a torn ACL.

The bright side is that the Chargers have a bye week this week and won't play until October 16th against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

Hopefully, the red zone threat in Parham will suit up fully healthy.
