The Kansas City Chiefs added another player in the defensive secondary to the injury report early Sunday morning.

The team announced on the app formerly known as Twitter that CB Joshua Williams had been added to the injury report. He'll be listed as questionable with an illness.

If you recall, early in the week, the team dealt with an illness going around on the defensive side of the ball . Both Mike Edwards and Leo Chenal missed a combined three practices this week due to illness.

Now, it seems that illness has hit some of the team's depth in the secondary.

Williams has played just 26% of the team's defensive snaps so far this season, but he's played the most snaps on special teams with nearly 80% of the snaps. He's been more of a matchup-dependent piece on defense, whereas he's been a key piece for Dave Toub's special teams unit.

If Williams can't go against the Patriots, Jaylan Watson will be the first player off the bench at the cornerback position in Kansas City. At the same time, expect players like Ekow Boye-Doe and Nic Jones to get larger opportunities on special teams or in case of in-game injury.
