Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy wants OC Kellen Moore to be 'smarter' with play calling

The Dallas Cowboys offense put up a Week 1 stinker during their 19-3 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on "Sunday Night Football." Now with two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott out with a thumb injury, it may continue to be tough sledding for Jerry Jones' organization.

Head coach Mike McCarthy feels it's not only the players on the field who need to turn things around though, and on Friday, he had some notable things to say about offensive coordinator Kellen Moore's job.

Moore joined the Cowboys as their quarterbacks coach in 2018, before transitioning to the role of offensive coordinator in 2019. The former NFL signal-caller had multiple interviews for the Miami Dolphins head coaching position in the offseason, before deciding to return to Dallas.

The Cowboys will host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
