Brian Flores served at the helm of the Dolphins over the last three seasons, recording a 24-25 mark and failing to make the postseason. He was fired on Jan. 10 after a second straight winning campaign. Miami finished the year by winning eight of its final nine to wrap up a 9-8 overall campaign.
Following a brief playing career with the Cowboys and Detroit Lions (appearing in only three NFL contests), Moore took a job as the Dallas quarterbacks coach in 2018. He then transitioned to the role of offensive coordinator for the franchise and has worked in that position the last three seasons.
While discussing the future of head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn on Friday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed confidence that the team would retain Moore as well, saying, "I believe he'll be back next year."
