The Detroit Lions have reportedly tendered running back Craig Reynolds a contract that will keep him in Motown.

Reynolds, 27, who was an exclusive rights free agent, secured 179 rushing yards and one touchdown in 2023.

For players designated as ERFA, receiving a contract tender means a player will play for the league minimum contract based on their experience level.

If an organization does not offer a league minimum, one-year deal , the player becomes an unrestricted free agent.

In the postseason, Reynolds scored a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and produced a classic tale by his teammates, who recalled the chaos surrounding the play.

“Bro, you know what’s crazy? He wasn’t even supposed to be in,” wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown explained on his podcast. “Bruh, we had a different, the personnel got messed up.

“I go in and then they change it to 12-Saint, which makes me go to the X receiver and I think J-Rey (Josh Reynolds) go to Z,” St. Brown explained further. “So at that point, they’re probably changing the play in the headset. And then Craig comes running onto the field. I’m like ‘Damn, okay,’ and I’m thinking it’s one play that we practice and it’s a different play and I’m like, ‘Okay, this play works, this is the 12-Saint play where I motion.’”
