Dolphins All-Pro WR discusses 'bone-headed' marina incident

It was reported in June that the Dolphins wide receiver was under investigation by Miami police after the alleged incident.

Head coach Mike McDaniel also talked about the issue on Wednesday, saying that "in situations like that everybody is disappointed."

Per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques, WPLG-TV reported that Hill allegedly hit an employee during a "disagreement". Furthermore, Fox Sports 640's Andy Slater reported that the seven-time Pro Bowler "slapped the employee on the back of the head" but that they had "declined to press charges at this time," according to the ESPN report.

After an investigation by the Miami-Dade Police Department, no charges were filed against Hill.

Attorneys for both parties released a joint statement earlier this week.

"The parties to the incident which occurred on June 18, 2023 at the Haulover Marina involving Tyreek Hill have resolved their differences,"

Evan Feldman, the attorney for an employee of Kelley Fleet Inc., and Julius Collins, the attorney for Hill, said in a statement provided to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This is far from the first time that the 29-year-old has been under police investigation.

He pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation following a 2014 incident and was sentenced to three years of probation, an anger-management course, a yearlong batterer's course and a domestic abuse evaluation. Hill also was investigated in 2019 for a child abuse report, but never faced any charges.

The Dolphins acquired Hill in a March 2022 trade with the Kansas City Chiefs and he responded with career highs in receptions (119) and receiving yards (1,710) in his first campaign in South Beach.
