Dolphins' Tyreek Hill under police investigation for alleged marina incident

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is being investigated by Miami police after he allegedly struck an employee at a south Florida marina over the weekend.

Local10 in Miami reported on Tuesday that it received a tip on Sunday evening that Hill had been involved in a dispute with the worker and that it allegedly resulted in him placing his hands on the employee.

Hill had posted Instagram stories on Sunday from a boat, while his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, had tweeted a video of him with a shark as the two fished together.

This is not the first time Hill has been under investigation by the police. He was also investigated in 2019 for a child abuse report, but he never faced any charges as a result. He also pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation following a 2014 incident. He was sentenced to three years of probation, an anger-management course, a yearlong batterer's course and a domestic abuse evaluation.

Hill was acquired by the Dolphins prior to the 2022 season and caught 119 passes for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns. He is one of the best deep-threat and big-play wide receivers in the NFL.

This could also leave Hill open to discipline from the NFL in the form of a fine or suspension. As of Tuesday evening, no official charges have been filed against him.
