Philadelphia Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell is putting in work.

Gainwell showed off his leg strength in a recent video that he posted on Instagram of him squatting an impressive 455 pounds.

With the Eagles signing Saquon Barkley to a three-year, $37.75 million contract in NFL free agency last month, Gainwell slides into a backup role on the depth chart.

That's nothing new for Gainwell, who backed up D'Andre Swift last season and did a good job doing so, as he ran for a career-high 364 yards on 84 carries and two touchdowns in his third season with the Birds.

Gainwell also had 547 yards from scrimmage on 115 offensive touches in 2023.

Aside from Barkley and Gainwell, the Eagles have Tyrion Davis-Price and Lew Nichols under contract at running back next season.

There's also a possibility they add another young weapon the their backfield in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft with one of their eight picks.
