Eagles receive good news on All-Pro lineman

The 10-year veteran suffered a torn adductor in Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys and played through the injury throughout the Eagles' run to Super Bowl LVII, opting to put off surgery until after the season. 

Johnson started 15 games for Philly last season, earning his fourth career trip to the Pro Bowl and second All-Pro nod. According to Pro Football Focus' Sam Monson, Johnson didn't allow a sack or a QB hit the entire 2022 season, surrendering only nine hurries over 551 pass-blocking snaps. 

Despite losing Isaac Seumalo in free agency, with a healthy Johnson, the Eagles' offensive line remains one of the NFL's elite. Many expect 2022 second-round pick Cam Jurgens to slide into Seumalo's spot at right guard, joining Johnson, Jordan Mailata, Pro Bowler Landon Dickerson and All-Pro center Jason Kelce. 

Johnson anchors what Mike Clay of ESPN believes is the top offensive line in the NFL. Earlier this month, Clay ranked the Birds' o-line as the best among the league's 32 teams, finishing ahead of the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, and defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. 

Selected fourth overall by the Eagles in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma, Johnson has played 127 career games in Philly. Only Fletcher Cox (173), Kelce (176) and Brandon Graham (178) have suited up for more games as an Eagle among active players. 

In March, Johnson secured his future in midnight green, inking a one-year contract extension worth $33.4 million ($30 million guaranteed), keeping him in Philadelphia through the 2026 season.
