The Philadelphia Eagles must beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday if they want to win the NFC East and take control over the top seed.
To do so, they will need their roster full of as many healthy starters as possible, including tight end Dallas Goedert.
Goedert has missed the last three matchups because of a forearm injury, however he is expected to make his return this week, according to Goedert himself.
"It's exciting for me knowing that my return to play is coming sooner rather than later," Goedert said during an appearance on the 94WIP Midday Show on Tuesday. "It's probably feeling like 85 to 90 percent back to normal. I'm able to do everything I need to do in my position group, so I am planning on going down to Dallas and playing every snap they allow me to."
After not practicing for several weeks, Goedert returned to practice as a limited participant for the first time last Friday
He was considered doubtful ahead of Sunday's home tilt against the San Francisco 49ers before the Eagles officially ruled him out.
For the time being, the Eagles have turned to Albert Okwuegbunam, Jack Stoll and Grant Calcaterra in Goedert's place.
However, his return at any capacity will be a major boost at the tight end position.
