The Philadelphia Eagles made a few necessary roster moves following the 2024 NFL Draft to make room for the rookies, and more.
According to NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro, the team waived defensive tackle Noah Ellis, wide receiver Griffin Herbert, defensive back Taiwan Mullen, and center Lecitus Smith.
Aside from these very unsurprising roster cuts, the Eagles officially signed offensive tackle Mekhi Becton to a one-year deal.
Becton's deal is reportedly worth up to $5.5 million. Of course, that means the more he plays, then the more he makes. The Eagles plan to use him as a swing tackle.
As Zangaro noted, the Eagles now have 83 players on their 90-man roster following the cuts, however, they still have yet to announce their undrafted free agent signings.
The Eagles have seven UDFAs to go with the nine picks from the draft.
