ESPN's Dan Orlovsky : Rams' Super Bowl hopes 'done' without OBJ
ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky, a former NFL QB, said the Los Angeles Rams don’t have a chance for another Super Bowl title without Odell Beckham Jr. The former star wideout played with the Rams in the latter part of last season, helping them win the Super Bowl, but is now a free agent.
Orlovsky discussed the Rams' receiving corps during a segment on "NFL Live" recently.
“If they do not get OBJ, they’re done,” Orlovsky said.
Orlovsky criticized a Rams offseason addition, WR Allen Robinson II, who has nine catches for 95 yards and one touchdown over the first four games.
“Allen Robinson’s legs are gone,” he said. “They’re done. He cannot get open.”
Former Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears and former Steelers safety Ryan Clark absolved Robinson of blame. Spears criticized head coach Sean McVay’s playcalling, and Clark called out quarterback Matthew Stafford.
In a Week 4 loss to the 49ers, Stafford completed 32 of 48 passes for 254 yards, no touchdown passes and tossed an interception. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp and tight end Tyler Higbee combined for 24 catches in the game. The rest of the Rams caught eight passes.
The Rams (2-2) host the Cowboys (3-1) on Sunday.
