The Atlanta Falcons have added another name to their interview list, as the team announced it has completed an interview with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
Glenn, 51, has emerged as a hot coaching candidate in this cycle, with the Falcons being one of four teams to interview him. While the Lions' defense hasn't been great statistically this season, Glenn's players seem to love him seeing as he ranked as the league's top defensive coordinator in a recent NFLPA survey.
The Falcons seemed to have zeroed in on former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick as their top choice, but if that falls through, Glenn has been a popular pick as a second option.
The list of coaches the Falcons have interviewed includes Belichick, Glenn, Brian Johnson (Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator), Mike Macdonald (Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator), Steve Wilks (San Francisco defensive coordinator), Brian Callahan (Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator), Ejiro Evero (Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator) and Anthony Weaver (Ravens assistant head coach).
