Falcons QBs coach Charles London to interview for Rams OC job
Fresh off of their victory in Super Bowl LVI , the Los Angeles Rams are now seeing many members of their coaching staff being hired, or being interviewed elsewhere. On Thursday alone, secondary coach/passing game coordinator Ejiro Evero, assistant special teams coach Dwayne Stukes and assistant defensive line coach Marcus Dixon were all hired by the Denver Broncos.
Earlier this week, assistant head coach Thomas Brown interviewed for the Minnesota Vikings' offensive coordinator post. Most prominently however, the Rams recently lost their own offensive coordinator, as Kevin O'Connell was named the Vikings new head coach on Wednesday.
Los Angeles is busy seeking their next person for the job, and the newest name to be set up for an interview was reported Friday morning.
After playing college football at Duke, London began his coaching career as a graduate assistant with the Blue Devils in 2004. He held that role for two seasons, before becoming the programs running backs coach.
London then served as the Chicago Bears offensive quality control coach from 2007 to 2009, a scout with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010 and an offensive assistant with the Tennessee Titans in 2011. London re-joined the college ranks for two seasons in 2012 and 2013 as Penn State's running backs coach, before going back to the NFL in the same role with the Houston Texans from 2014 to 2017.
The 46-year-old returned to the Bears as their running backs coach from 2018 to 2020, before handling the Falcons quarterbacks last season.
