Fans must wear masks, face coverings at all NFL games

If NFL fans are permitted to attend regular-season games this fall amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, they will have to wear masks or other face coverings inside stadiums.

As Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith wrote, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed that face coverings will be a league-wide policy regardless of any local guidelines.

The news is hardly a surprise considering teams such as the Los Angeles Rams already intended to mandate masks if clubs can welcome spectators.

Due to state-wide protocols throughout New Jersey, the New York Giants and New York Jets announced on Monday that they won't permit fans to attend training camp sessions or games.
