Former Cardinals GM shares hilarious story proving how intimidating Nick Bosa can be

An intimidating presence on the field, San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl edge-rusher Nick Bosa is capable of causing the same impact off the field, according to former Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim.

A guest on "The Herd" this week, Keim said Bosa warned him and then-head coach Kliff Kingsbury sternly against passing on him in the 2019 NFL Draft. After having dinner with the pair, Bosa coldly told Keim what would happen if they chose "that little" quarterback Kyler Murray instead.

"He looked over at me and said, 'Steve, I will haunt you for the rest of your career,'" Keim said.

As it turns out, Bosa was right on both counts. The Cardinals took Murray with the No. 1 overall pick, and Bosa now haunts Arizona twice a year, playing for an NFC West rival.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Bosa has kept his word, tormenting the Cardinals since the 49ers selected him second overall in 2019. In seven career games against Arizona, Bosa has three sacks and 24 tackles, the second-highest marks set by the Niners standout among teams he's faced.

The 25-year-old had arguably the best campaign of his career in 2022. Bosa played 16 games for the 49ers, recording a league-leading 18.5 sacks, his highest total as a pro, and 51 tackles, one shy of his career-best.
