Former Packers WR Davante Adams has a bold take on CB Jaire Alexander

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams knows Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander well.

The two played together for four years in Green Bay and often matched up with each other in practice. Alexander was drafted by the Packers as a first-rounder in 2018, which was the first 1,000-plus receiving yard season of Adams' career.

They haven't played each other as opponents yet but will get a chance this Monday night when the Packers travel to Las Vegas to take on Adams' Raiders on "Monday Night Football."

Alexander is likely to match up with Adams often, and talking about the matchup on Thursday, the six-time Pro Bowl receiver knows that Alexander will be a challenge.

A two-time Pro Bowler in his own right, Alexander has struggled with injuries this season. He missed last week's game against the Detroit Lions with an injured back, but when he's healthy, he's undoubtedly one of the best cornerbacks in the game.

Unfortunately for the Packers, their defense has really struggled this season and they're now going to be facing a Raiders team that features one of the best wideouts in the world in No. 17.

The Packers know that well. He caught 669 passes for 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns in eight seasons before Green Bay traded him to the Raiders. He then went on to catch 100 balls for Vegas last season for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns.

So far in 2023, Adams has caught 33 for 397 yards and three touchdowns.

Alexander will be looking to simply slow Adams down on Monday night, though, because even he won't be able to fully stop him.
