Your Los Angeles Chargers' new front office regime, under new general manager Joe Hortiz, could face some major flexibility issues this spring as they look to flesh out their club. That's because they're expected to be around $45.8 million over the NFL's projected salary cap.

However, they may have just gotten a lucky break.

Per Field Yates of Fantasy Focus, veteran Los Angeles center Corey Linsley, on the verge of a potential retirement this year, is restructuring his current deal. The fresh agreement will shrink his base salary to the league's $1.21 minimum contract, down from $11.5 million, to open up $10.29 million in available cap space, which will give Los Angeles extra real estate with which to maneuver this offseason.

The Bolts can now spread the dead $12 million owed Linsley out over the next two seasons, assuming Linsley does indeed call it a career following June 1st.
