Jaguars re-sign DL Adam Gotsis

Coming off of one of the best seasons of his six-year NFL career , defensive lineman Adam Gotsis is now being rewarded with a new deal.

Gotsis will be entering his third season with Jacksonville in 2022, after being selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of 2016 NFL Draft and spending the first four years of his career in the Mile High City. Gotsis finished third on the Jaguars in tackles for loss (career-high six) last year and was tied for third on the club in sacks with 3.0, which matched previous high mark from 2018.

The Georgia Tech product also tied his previous high of seven quarterback hits in 2021. Gotsis has recorded 173 tackles, 25 quarterback hits, 16 passes defended and 8.0 sacks over his 89-game career.

The 29-year-old joins incoming rookie and No. 1 overall draft pick Travon Walker -- among others -- along Jacksonville's defensive line.
