I always say that I never want to lie to you guys. So I'm going to be brutally honest. This was a tough week for me from a mental health standpoint. I fully realize I brough a lot of that on myself because after a very bad game from Goff, I took to social media to try to be the guy that brought some reality to conversation. All I wanted to do was show Lions fans that they have a pretty good quarterback despite the recent bad showing.

People had a lot of things to say to me and I totally get it. I'm not supposed to care and I'm not supposed to let it affect me and 99.9% of the time I don't. This week I did. So I think that it's fair for me to say, on this night, that I feel vindicated in my attempts to show fans that they have a good situation. I think Jared Goff probably feels some level of vindication too after a week of putting in work to bounce back. Because he bounced back huge.

Jared Goff went out and had his best game as a Lion and probably the second best game of his entire career. That 2018 game against the Vikings where he had a perfect passer rating is pretty hard to beat.

It couldn't have come at a better time. Goff really did have a bad stretch of games against some good defenses. He came out on Saturday against another good defense and was damn near unstoppable. Goff completed 70.6% of passes for 278 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-17 win over the Broncos.

Jobs not done though. Goff needs to bring this same level of play into Minnesota next week. If he can and the Lions win, he'll lead the Lions to their first divsion title since 1993.  The Lions have started 20 different quarterbacks in that time period. Goff can be the one that helps the Lions get it done
