King of Props: Big-game Hunter

The rivalry between the Chiefs and Raiders dates back to the days of the AFL, before the Dallas Texans relocated to Kansas City. The two teams have competed as AFC West foes since the 1970 merger, and they’ve met on Monday Night Football seven times, with the Chiefs holding a 4-3 advantage. As the underdog Raiders try to even that mark by getting the first win of their Las Vegas tenure, one player prop stands out:

The bet: Over 4½ receptions for Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow (DraftKings)

After missing two games with a concussion, Renfrow will be looking for redemption when he returns to action tonight. His last play resulted in an overtime loss to the Cardinals, as he gave up the ball on a jarring hit and the fumble was returned 59 yards for a touchdown.

In that Week 2 contest, Renfrow was targeted 10 times and made seven receptions. He’s a crafty slot receiver with a knack for getting open, and his usage was similar in last year’s first game against the Chiefs, when he drew nine throws from Derek Carr and caught seven of them.

But Renfrow’s most recent game in Kansas City, a December loss last year, was even more impressive. He set career highs in both targets (14) and receptions (13). Though he’s unlikely to see quite that much volume with prized acquisition Davante Adams commanding looks, five catches tonight should be easy enough.
