The Los Angeles Rams are trying to stay in the playoff hunt. If they are going to do that, they need Cooper Kupp to be healthy. The star receiver has been dealing with an ankle injury and many wondered whether he would be good to go. On Friday, an update came down and it is good news for Rams fans.

Los Angeles Rams Cooper Kupp Likely To Play On Sunday

Head coach Sean McVay said that Kupp will play in Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Regardless of how he shows up on the injury report, you heard it from the head coach himself. The offense changes if Kupp is out. Matthew Stafford has been great and spreading it around to Kupp and rookie receiver Puka Nacua. With both of them on the field, it puts a lot of stress on an opposing secondary. It is also a welcome sight for a team that is trying to make a playoff push.

Playoffs?

The Rams sit at 4-6 but are by no means out of it. With a win on Sunday that would put them one game behind the 6-5 Seahawks and Vikings who currently hold the last two playoff spots in the NFC. There is a lot of season left and it is very realistic that with a small win streak that the Rams could sneak into the playoffs. They will have to contend with the Green Bay Packers who are 5-6 now after a win on Thanksgiving.

The Los Angeles Rams have been here before. Cooper Kupp and many others on this roster have won a Super Bowl. If Kupp can play and stay healthy, this team could be scary down the stretch.
