Mike Vrabel on Julio Jones' hamstring injury: Titans 'going to take it day by day'

The Tennessee Titans held on for a dramatic 34-31 win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night that improved them to 4-2 on the season but also lost multiple players to worrisome injuries. Cornerback Caleb Farley and wide receiver Cam Batson went down to season-ending torn ACLs, left tackle Taylor Lewan was carted off the field after what first appeared to be a serious head/neck issue, and star wide receiver Julio Jones had his evening end early because of his second hamstring-related problem of the season.

According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel spoke briefly about Jones with reporters on Tuesday.

"We’re just going to take it day by day," Vrabel said of Jones.

Before Jones was ruled out on Monday, he posted an early "catch of the year" candidate and tallied three receptions for 59 yards against Buffalo:

Thus far in his first Titans campaign, the seven-time Pro Bowl selection has 15 catches for 263 yards with no touchdowns. Jones' status for Sunday's game against the 3-3 Kansas City Chiefs likely won't officially be announced until later this week. Before Monday's outing, he missed Tennessee's previous two contests with a hurt hamstring.

In positive news, Lewan tweeted Tuesday afternoon he is "alright" coming off Monday's scare.
