Packers coach Matt LaFleur still hopeful Aaron Rodgers will return to team?

Hours after a story surfaced that disgruntled Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers may have spoken with opposing players throughout the 2020 season about potentially teaming up with a different club, the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player explained during a Monday appearance on "SportsCenter" he currently feels frustrated over Green Bay's culture.

As expected, Rodgers has skipped the start of organized team activities, and Packers head coach Matt LaFleur addressed the elephant in the room while speaking with reporters on Tuesday.

"I just want to keep it about the guys that are here right now," LaFleur remarked, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. "We're just going to continue to try to work through this and hopefully we can get him back in the building."

A couple of weeks ago, LaFleur said: "We still obviously feel the same way. We want him back in the worst way. I know he knows that and we'll continue to work at it each and every day."

Rodgers is signed through 2023, and Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst has insisted he's not trading the future Hall of Famer even after June 1. Multiple reports claim the Packers won't part ways with Gutekunst in an attempt to appease Rodgers.
