Packers' first-half woes are all on HC Matt LaFleur

The Green Bay Packers may not be a great team. In fact, at 2-4 after losing to the previously one-win Denver Broncos and riding a three-game losing streak, the facts are clear.

Bill Parcells once famously said, "You are what your record says you are."

What that said, the Packers largely stink.

There's a lot of blame to go around. From Jordan Love's inability to throw an accurate deep ball to general manager Brian Gutekunst putting together this young, sloppy team with no veterans on offense and underwhelming results from a defense stacked with first-round talent.

The buck stops with head coach Matt LaFleur, though, and specifically, his inability to get his team ready for games. The Packers and LaFleur's offense have come out flat in four of their six games, and that is putting it nicely.

Green Bay has scored six (yes, six) first-half points total since Week 2's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. They were shut out in the first half against the New Orleans Saints, and thanks to a missed Anders Carlson field goal, they were shut out in the first half against the Broncos.

Sure, the Packers have at least shown enough grit to fight back into games, but they've been outscored in the first half by a total of 63-6 over their past four contests.

That's problem No. 1 in Green Bay right now, and unfortunately, LaFleur has no answers. And that's coming off a bye week.

The Love "question" is the most important one in Green Bay this season, and frankly, right now he's failing. Gutekunst's ability to build a roster without Aaron Rodgers is also in question.

With that said, it all starts and ends with the head coach in Green Bay, and frankly, right now he's failing too.
