Post-waiver wire fantasy football pickups for Week 13

Unlucky with your Week 13 waiver claims? Don’t give up. Change your fantasy fortunes with this week’s post-waiver fantasy options.

QB: Mike White (New York Jets) 

In Week 12, White had 315 yards passing and three touchdowns against the Chicago Bears, good for the sixth-most fantasy points among quarterbacks last week.

White’s 149.3 passer rating was the highest for a Jets quarterback since Geno Smith in 2014. White is available in 94% of leagues, and he’ll face a Vikings defense giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Jets players obviously prefer White over deposed starter Zach Wilson. 

RB: Zonovan Knight (New York Jets) 

White wasn’t the only Jet to impress against Chicago in Week 12. Knight rushed for 69 yards and added 34 yards receiving.

RB Michael Carter left the game in the third quarter with a low ankle sprain, but Knight was involved from the start. Ty Johnson had a touchdown and more yards, but the team clearly favors Knight’s aggressive running style.

Carter might play on Sunday, and the team could also activate James Robinson, but Knight is worth a look. He’s available in almost 70% of leagues and may have value into the playoffs.

WR: Quez Watkins (Philadelphia Eagles)

A.J. Brown gets all the attention, but Watkins has been as good as any Philadelphia receiver lately. He has 38 fantasy points in his past four games, one less than DeVonta Smith and two less than Brown.

Of the three, Watkins is the only one with a touchdown in each of his past two games. With 4.35 speed, Watkins always has big-play ability, but he’s starting to see more targets lately.

He’s rostered in 1% of leagues, which is criminal considering how explosive Philly’s offense can be. By comparison, the Titans’ Robert Woods has less than 20 fantasy points over the past four weeks and is owned in 35% of leagues.

The Titans give up the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers. If your team needs a big play to make the playoffs, Watkins could be the one to give it to you.

TE: Jelani Woods (Indianapolis Colts) 

Woods has been part of a three-headed tight end monster with Mo Allie-Cox and Kylen Granson but had a breakout performance against the Steelers in Week 12. He led the team with 98 yards on eight catches.

His nine targets were second most on the team. 

The 6-foot-7, 265-pound rookie is available everywhere. He’s worth a look given the lack of quality tight ends in the NFL.

DST: Seattle Seahawks

Keep it simple. The Rams give up the most fantasy points to defenses this year. The Seahawks play the Rams this week.

Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson are out. Matthew Stafford and his center are questionable. Seattle’s defense is available in 46% of leagues and is a top-three defense according to Yahoo! Sports.

K: Jason Myers (Seattle Seahawks) 

Myers has missed one field goal and one extra point all season. He has made five field goals from 50 yards or more. Kickers average 9.27 fantasy points against the Rams.

Myers is available in more than 50% of leagues. Go ahead, kick the Rams while they’re down. Meyers will.
