Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson was another former New England Patriot who reunited with former Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels during his brief stint in Las Vegas.
Wilkerson was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2020 but was waived by the team as part of final roster cuts in early September. He then spent two seasons in New England, playing just four games, making one start. He posted 42 yards and two touchdowns on just four receptions in the 2021 season.
The Patriots would waive Wilkerson in the 2023 offseason after missing the 2022 campaign with a concussion. Just a day later, he was claimed by the Indianapolis Colts, who waived him in May. The Raiders signed him later that month.
Wilkerson would have an impressive 2023 preseason, recording 188 receiving yards and a touchdown in three games, including a 122-receiving-yard performance against the Dallas Cowboys in Las Vegas' final preseason game.
Even so, Wilkerson played in just the first two games for the Raiders this past season, including a start against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2.
Wilkerson played college ball at Southeast Missouri State, where he played 47 games in four seasons.
The future of the Raiders' receiving room is far from stable, which opens a big window for Wilkerson, who is still developing at 27 years of age.
Las Vegas signed Wilkerson to a reserve/future contract last month. He is currently on a one-year deal worth $985,000. Wilkerson was the only wide receiver to be signed to a reserve/future contract in January.
From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
