Ravens' De'Anthony Thomas opts out of 2020 season

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver and returner De’Anthony Thomas won't play if the 2020 NFL season is held amid the worsening coronavirus pandemic.

Baltimore confirmed on Monday that the 27-year-old has opted out of the campaign.

The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Thomas in 2014, and he returned a punt for a touchdown as a rookie. Thomas remained with the Chiefs until the club released him last October. He joined the Ravens and appeared in nine games for the AFC North side.

Thomas re-signed with Baltimore in March.

Training camp sessions open to all players on Tuesday.
