Ravens on a concerning streak following Lamar Jackson trade request

The Ravens may be having their worst offseason in recent memory, and to make matters worse, it is adding to a concerning streak the team has been on over the last four years.

Since QB Lamar Jackson announced he officially requested a trade on March 2, Baltimore has now had five players it has drafted request a trade from the team in the past four years.

The other four players are safety Chuck Clark, WR Marquise Brown, offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. and TE Hayden Hurst. All were traded shortly after they requested a trade.

The Ravens traded Clark, who played in all 17 games in 2022, to the Jets this offseason for a 2024 seventh-round pick. The move saved Baltimore $4.14 million in cap space, but fans were hoping for more compensation than it got.

Brown was traded to the Cardinals during the 2022 NFL Draft, Brown Jr. was sent to the Chiefs in 2021 and Hurst was acquired by the Falcons in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Ravens seem to be against trading the 2019 NFL MVP as of now, but if the team does eventually give in, it will be five-for-five with Jackson surely being their worst loss yet.
