Ravens showing interest in 'sleeper' O-lineman

The Ravens only have five picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, and to make every selection count, they're eyeing a late-round player that has been named a "sleeper" on the offensive line.

Baltimore is one of five teams that have shown interest in Princeton offensive lineman Henry Byrd. Byrd, who is 6-foot-5, 312 pounds, has proven he has great feet as he is an accomplished tap dancer along with other impressive measurables.

Byrd was named first-team All-Ivy twice (2021-22) and helped Princeton post Ivy's No. 1 passing offense and the No. 2 scoring offense in 2022.

The Ravens did lose one of the pillars of their offensive line this offseason. Guard Ben Powers, who signed with the Broncos in free agency, was one of the NFL's best guards in 2022, allowing zero sacks and being penalized just once.

The Princeton product is unlikely to be a day-one starter, but he could certainly develop into one as a day-three selection.

Baltimore will need to decide when the best time to draft Byrd is with other teams eyeing him as well. But if the Ravens can land him, they may just end up with one of the draft's most underrated players.
