Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers reportedly not at Packers OTAs

The latest news surrounding Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers shouldn't necessarily come as a surprise based on the many offseason reports stating that he wants out of Green Bay.

According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, Rodgers was not among the group of players who reported to Lambeau Field on Monday for the start of organized team activities.

Rodgers did not participate in Phase One or Two of the team's offseason program and he has already missed enough to disqualify him from cashing his $500,000 workout bonus, Demovsky adds.

Rodgers' failure to report is another sign that he wants to move on from Green Bay this season. He wants a new contract, and the Packers reportedly offered to make him the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, but the 37-year-old still doesn't have a new deal.

Rodgers' dissatisfaction with the club goes beyond just money, though. He was reportedly unhappy when general manager Brian Gutekunst selected Jordan Love in last year's draft, and it worsened when the franchise released wide receiver Jake Kumerow last September.

The California native is also reportedly adamant about not returning to Green Bay unless Gutekunst is fired. He has even mocked the general manager in group chats with his teammates.

The Packers insist they will not trade Rodgers, but it seems like they are beginning to prepare for a future without him after signing veterans Blake Bortles and Kurt Benkert last week.

If Rodgers does not report for next month's minicamp, he is subject to a $93,085 fine. He has earned almost $241 million during his NFL career, according to Spotrac, so he probably isn't worried about any fines headed his way.
