Steelers rally late to ice Raiders, 13-10

The Steelers iced the Raiders in Pittsburgh due to another late collapse.

Las Vegas suffered its eighth one-possession loss after blowing another fourth-quarter lead.

Kenny Pickett and the Steelers' offense marched 76 yards downfield on 10 plays to give the Steelers a 13-10 lead with 46 seconds to go.

A Derek Carr interception sealed the Raiders' fate.

The late-game miscues define the Raiders season.

Although the Raiders have talent — including Pro Bowlers Maxx Crosby, Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams — their late-game execution prevented them from reaching their potential.

According to Josh Dubow of the Associated Press, the Raiders are 1-5 when leading by seven or more points at halftime and became the first team to squander five halftime leads of seven or more points in league history.

The loss to Pittsburgh isn't as catastrophic as others since the Raiders played in nine degrees Fahrenheit, along with defensive starters Chandler Jones and Denzel Perryman exiting early with injuries.

But a team with a full grasp of how to win nail biters vanquishes these circumstances. Even when that group doesn't have one of its games like Las Vegas did in Pittsburgh.

The Raiders only had 201 yards of total offense, three turnovers, and let the Steelers gain 350 yards of total offense.

The close-game woes aren't the only reason the Raiders are on the verge of playoff elimination, but they did push them down a treacherous, frozen path.
