The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are making a couple of housekeeping moves ahead of their Wild Card rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles.

On Tuesday, the team announced that it was re-signing veteran defensive tackle Deadrin Senat to the practice squad. The Buccaneers waived second-year linebacker Vi Jones in a corresponding move to free up a spot on the roster.

Senat has been bouncing between Tampa Bay's active roster and practice squad for the majority of the last two seasons. The team promoted him to the active roster on December 16 before releasing him on January 5 to make room for rookie wide receiver Rakim Jarrett. Bringing him back to the practice squad is the natural next step in the process.

The sixth-year defensive lineman has appeared in three games for the Buccaneers throughout the course of the season. He's only recorded one total tackle which came in the loss to Buffalo in October. Senat saw more playing time in 2022 as he totaled 17 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack in 12 games.

Senat was originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. His most productive season came during his rookie year as he appeared in 15 games with two starts while recording 30 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two quarterback hits.

There's a slim possibility Senat gets called up to the active roster after Mike Greene missed the win over Carolina with a calf injury.
