Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (9) and wide receiver Cooper Kupp (10) Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The first Super Bowl LVI player props worth betting on

We still have over a week before the Super Bowl between the Rams and Bengals, but player props have been fully released and are sure to see significant movement with two weeks for bettors to place wagers.

As such, it's a good time to scan the board and lock in your favorites. Nothing is going to change in terms of the matchups or your reasoning for liking a player.

I have two that catch my eye for the big game, with both potentially tied at the hip.

Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp long play props

Both of these props are currently available on DraftKings and have been some of my favorites to bet all season.

Before we get to their season's production against these numbers, it's worth looking at how the Cincinnati Bengals defense has fared against chunk plays.

Only two teams have allowed more 20+ yard passes than the Bengals this year, which is a great start. Cincinnati has been a bit stingier to explosive 40-yard plays, allowing just eight through the year. That mark comes in right in the middle of NFL ranks.

Patrick Mahomes and Ryan Tannehill have both completed a 40-yard pass against this team in the past two playoff games, showing recent leaks that offer value for Stafford and his receivers.

For a Rams offense that operates on big plays, this feels like the right approach to take when betting on the Los Angeles offense.

Stafford longest completion over 38.5 yards (-110 DraftKings)

On the season, the Rams quarterback has gone over this total in 65% of games played, a solid hit-rate as we prep our Super Bowl bets.

He's covered this prop in seven of his last 10, including three of four. He failed to reach this mark in the NFC Championship, with a pass long of 35 yards.

We've seen Stafford's proclivity for launching bombs, and I think there's an argument that playing on his home field is an advantage.

There is no advantage in my mind when it comes to fans, but there is for familiarity with the turf and how his weapons move around the field.

With two straight quarterbacks hitting this against the Bengals, it's enough to lock in a long play for me.

Cooper Kupp longest reception over 27.5 yards (-110 DraftKings)

In a perfect world, these two props cash on the same play. Kupp has certainly been on the receiving end of many of Stafford's biggest throws this season.

During the regular season, Kupp registered 30 catches of over 20+ yards, the most in the NFL. He has five already this postseason, and while he failed to hit this prop for us last week, he deserves our trust.

On the year, Kupp has hit this prop at a 75% rate. That is an elite cover rate that is worth another look in the biggest game of the year.

This Rams' passing attack has been their offensive strength all season, and if they are to beat a Bengals team that has an exploitable defense, it will start with generating big plays.

Lock me in for two fun props for Super Bowl LVI, there are sure to be more coming. Don't be surprised if these numbers rise before the game, so if you like the plays, now is the time to get your bets in.
