Trent Williams' relationship with Washington 'unsalvageable'?

It seems like seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams is officially fed up with the Washington football team.

Williams met with Ron Rivera for about 10-15 minutes a couple weeks ago, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini, and both sides felt that it wasn't going to work out.

While Washington has tried to trade Williams, it doesn't want to let him go for pennies. If a strong suitor emerges, then it's more likely Williams starts the season with a new team. Until then, he'll unfortunately remain with the organization.

The 31-year-old was drafted by Washington fourth overall in the 2010 NFL Draft and has spent nine seasons with Washington. He's been a big part of the scheme and anchor for the offensive line. Williams is a seven-time Pro Bowler and ranked 81 on the NFL's Top 100 list in 2019.

If Williams does move on from Washington, it's likely he moves to a contender or a team that has the chance to make a deep run in the playoffs.
