Vernell Brown III Cuts Down Recruitment

Jones High School wide receiver Vernell Brown III holds offers from 42 programs nationwide. The No. 249 prospect in the 247Sports' Composite Rankings hauled in 70 passes for 1,363 yards and ten touchdowns during his junior campaign and cut his recruitment to 11 schools on Thursday.

Brown will focus on Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Miami, Ohio State, Stanford, Syracuse, Tennessee, and UCF moving forward. The Vols aren't in his top group, as they have several other major targets on the board. However, a lot can change in the time between now and early national signing day. Tennessee has already done enough to be in the top 11 schools of this recruitment, and we'll see where things move going forward.
