Watch: Commanders RB Brian Robinson delivers snacks to team facility two days after shooting

Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson was shot twice in an attempted robbery Sunday, released from the hospital Monday and made his return to the team facility all in a span of two days.

On Tuesday, the Commanders posted video of Robinson greeting his coaches while on crutches and carrying a sleeve of Oreo's to share with the running backs room.

Robinson, 23, was Washington's third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft after finishing his senior season at Alabama with 1,639 yards from scrimmage, 14 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns. A pair of gunshots reportedly struck Robinson in the glute and knee with neither causing significant damage.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the bullet that entered Robinson's knee exited without damaging any of the "major parts of the knee," including ligaments, tendons, and bone.

The Commanders announced Tuesday that Robinson made the team's 53-man roster, although a timetable for his return has yet to be determined. Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic are expected to take the bulk of the carries for the team as Robinson recovers.
