Watch: Dolphins HC gives hilarious perspective on Dan Snyder selling Commanders

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel served as an offensive assistant with Washington in 2011 and 2012 and was the team's wide receivers coach in 2013.

As Dan Snyder's efforts to sell the Commanders continue, the 40-year-old McDaniel jokingly admitted on Monday to have been holding onto a grudge against the organization for nearly a decade.

While Snyder's initial asking price was $7 billion, according to reports, Sportico has valued the franchise at closer to $4.78 billion.

McDaniel's gig in the nation's capital was his first job back in the NFL after two seasons in the UFL. He was an intern with the Denver Broncos when he was 22 years old and was an offensive assistant with the Houston Texans for three years after that, before his UFL stint as a running backs coach with the Sacramento Mountain Lions.

McDaniel spent one season with the Cleveland Browns in 2014 as their wide receivers coach and two years as an offensive assistant with the Atlanta Falcons, before joining the San Francisco 49ers as their run game coordinator in 2017. He held that role for four seasons before being promoted to offensive coordinator and was hired as the Dolphins head coach in February 2022.

Miami went 9-8 in McDaniel's first season at the helm and made the playoffs for the first time in six seasons.
